Hungry?!?!?!

You are in Barbados, feeling hungry and wish to eat something filling. There are some options that you'd have available to you.

Depending on the time of day you can try:

Our cutters: Cheese, Ham. or Bread and 2 as pictured here.
You can also try

A fish cutter

In all cases, these can be enhanced with pepper sauce.

There are some people who prefer something that is sweeter. In Barbados, we say "good flour never sour"

Our pastries include:

They can be used with both hot and cold beverages.

Back in the day some of the cold local favourites were as follows:

We can also pass the late night with what is called a liver cutter. Way back in the day it was referred to by the price as a 175 when it cost $1.75
The price has risen significantly from those days.

Many of these eats were featured in shops in a display case which then resembled something like this.

As we are inclined to say. Those were the days.

Get your piece of nostalgia on. As you reminisce you'd realize that this becomes a culture that locals and tourists alike want to experience for themselves.

One thing is certain, you'd have to befriend a local as these won't be readily seen in hotels. Seek them out while here. Your tastebuds will thank you for these memories you're building.
