Are the healthy foods making us sick?

Why do you eat?

Is it because you're hungry? Do you just want to fill your stomach? Do you want to experience different tastes and cuisines?

Whatever the reason, we all have to eat. It's how we fuel our bodies to stay alive, or is it? Nowadays, even the foods we eat and their origins are questionable. To earn a living, many entities are producing GMO foods where GMO = genetically modified organisms.

They are in our plants and vegetable selections, and the experimentation continues. So the questions remain:

  • What are we really eating?
  • Are these foods good for us to consume?
  • What are the effects of eating GMO products - short and long-term?
One last question.
  • How does it impact us living in the Caribbean?
Many jump on the bandwagon from the standpoint of ignorance instead of seeking to do their own research. I'm no expert, but there may be a correlation between these foods and the chronic communicable diseases that so much of the population seems to be experiencing.

It is like putting any kind of fuel in a high performance race car engine and expecting to get superior results.

The reasons given for using GMOs conflict. Why is it? They say that the population is growing, yet when it comes to social security and other government programs, the population is said to be declining. It can only be one or the other, not both simultaneously.

This provides us with food for thought. The pictures, while shortening the required reading, don't provide any greater insights. One must read thoroughly to fully understand the magnitude of what we are dealing with.

Take heed of what we are purchasing to put into our bodies. Not every bargain is truly beneficial.
